Hydrogen metabolism - Definition, Glossary, Details - Oilgae
Hydrogen Metabolism - Hydrogen metabolism of Scenedesmus obliquus. - Depending on the partial hydrogen pressure Scenedesmus can either take up or produce hydrogen gas. Hydrogen uptake occurs in an anaerobic atmosphere rich in hydrogen and carbon dioxide, and is light dependent. The hydrogen taken up is used by the cells to reduce carbon dioxide to carbohydrates.
